Yesterday's Scripture Guidance

Exodus 19:3-8

"Then Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain and said, "This is what you are to say to the descendants of Jacob and what you are to tell the people of Israel:

'You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself.

Now if you obey me fully, and keep my covenant, then out of all nations, you will be my treasured possession.  Although the whole earth is mine,

you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.'  These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites."

So Moses went back and summoned the elders of the people and set before them all the words the Lord had commanded him to speak.

The people responded together, "We will do everything the Lord has said."

2 Corinthians 4:8-10, 13-14, & 16-18

"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;

persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

It is written:  "I believed; therefore I have spoken."  Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak,

because we know that the one  who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to Himself.

Therefore we do not lose heart.  Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
