See Yourself As God Sees You!

Yesterday's Scripture Guidance

1 Peter 5:1-4

"To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder, and a witness of (Jesus) Christ's sufferings..., who also shares in the glory to be revealed.

Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, watching over them..., not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve;

not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.

And when the Chief Shepherd (Jesus) appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away."

1 Samuel 13:11-14

"What have you (Saul) done?" asked Samuel.  Saul replied, "When I saw that the men were scattering, and that you did not come at the set time, and that the Philistines were assembling at Mikmash,

I thought, 'Now the Philistines will come down against me at Gilgal, and I have not sought the Lord's (God) favor.  So I felt compelled to offer the burnt offering.'"

"You have done a foolish thing," Samuel told Saul.  "You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you; if you had, He (God) would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time.

But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord (God) has sought out a man after His own heart and appointed him ruler of His people, because you have not kept the Lord's (God) command."
